Dr. Pamela Gaber and Ms. Valerie Woelfel are uniquely qualified to write Daily Life in Bible Times. Pam studies archaeology at Harvard University and Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Val studied art and archaeology at Augsburg College in Minneapolis as well as the University of Minnesota and the University of London. Pam and Val have worked together in archaeology since 1997.

Pam and her husband, also an archaeologist, have bought a 200 year old house in Cyprus which they have restored. They spend part of the year in Cyprus and part of the year in the United States. Pam was a religious educator for many years and brought this experience to the creation of Daily Life in Bible Times. Pam is now a professor at Lycoming College in Pennsylvania, she also directs a field school and archaeological excavation at the site of Idalion in Cyprus. Dr. Gaber is available as a speaker. Val has been an archaeological illustrator since 1988. She is based out of St. Paul, Minnesota, but spends her summers traveling to different archaeological sites to work as an illustrator and excavator, usually in countries around the Mediterranean. To create the illustrations in Daily Life, Val used a combination of traditional media and computer graphics. The photographs come for Val and Pam's years in the field. Valerie Woelfel is available as an illustrator. Her specialties are archaeology, classics and historical reconstructions.
